Larence Louis Bolding Obituary

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Larence quietly slipped away to be with his Lord and Savior after a brief illness.

Larence was born on August 22, 1949 to the late James and Pearl Bolding of Amelia County, Virginia.  He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend James Henderson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Lee Bolding.

Larence retired from the logging industry after forty-five years but continued to help others in the community by cutting grass and doing mechanic work.

Larence leaves to mourn precious memories, his wife, Linda Bolding; one daughter, Lolita Pope; two step sons, Artimus and LaDarryll Pope; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Sunshine and Maude Allen, Mary Eanes, Pansy Hodges (Roosevelt), and Catherine Chalkley; two brothers, Samuel and Robert Bolding (Pearl); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A special thanks to his caregivers, Anna Edmonds, Pamela Ownby, and Casheena Chalkley.  Also special thanks to his Hospice Team and Amelia Nursing Facility.
