James Lorenzo Evans made the transition from this life, to life eternal at Chippenham Medical Center on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1955, in Amelia, Virginia to the late James and Pinky Stokes Evans. He was educated in the Amelia County Public Schools. 

Jimmie, as he was lovingly called, was a quiet, gentle, and smiling person who loved to work in the yard and kept it clean, and watching TV. He worked several jobs as a laborer until his health began to fail. 

Jimmie was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Frank Evans.  He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters, Pinkie, Victorine, and Bertie Evans; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, many relatives, and friends, devoted, Susan Creed.
