Laisha "BB" Davis Obituary

Laisha Davis, 34, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on October 16, 2025. Born on August 27, 1991, in Seaford, Delaware, Laisha was the firstborn child of Stephanie Bowles, and Lemuel Collick. Her life, though far too brief, was filled with love, music, and deep connections to those around her.

Laisha had a vibrant spirit and a kind heart. She was known by many as “BB,” a nickname that reflected her warmth and the affection she inspired in those who knew her. Music was her passion—an ever-present part of her life that brought her joy and comfort. Whether listening to her favorite songs or sharing them with others, music was one of the ways she expressed her love and personality.

She was a devoted mother to her children: Javon Davis, Carnell Massenburg, and Rayne Davis. Her love for them was unwavering and evident in all that she did. Laisha also shared close bonds with her family, including her mother, Stephanie Bowles; her grandmother, Thelma Anderson; her stepfather, Michael Bowles; her siblings, Romelo Jones, Nakia Jones, Asia Jones, and Christoria Cox; and her brother, Sonny Branch. Her step-grandfather, Joseph Anderson, also held a special place in her life.

Laisha’s extended family included her boyfriend, Keith; her uncles, James Davis, Lentee Davis, and Carl Davis; and a host of other family members and friends who cherished her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Adkins and her husband, Carlton Massenburg.

Laisha “BB” Davis will be remembered for her caring nature, her love of music, and the deep connections she formed with those around her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her.
