On Saturday (Sabbath) morning March 28 our beloved Joseph M. Anderson passed away at home with his devoted wife by his side. He is now resting in Jesus until our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ returns to take him home.

Joseph was born in Jetersville,Va. on August 31, 1951 to the late Ruth S. Lawrence of Amelia,Va. and Joseph M. Anderson Sr. of Jetersville,Va. He was the oldest son of seven children.  He lost a brother at birth Benjamin Anderson.

Joseph attended Amelia County Public Schools and joined the job corp . After completing the job corp, he enlisted in the US Army where he served three years in severals states and overseas. After serving in the military he went to trade school in Richmond, Va. to be a Mechanic. 

Joseph was very gifted with his hands. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with his family.

Joseph joined the St. James Baptist Church  at an early age. He later joined the Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Richmond,Va.

In 2010 Joseph married his beloved wife Thelma on Valentine’s Day February 14, 2010

Joseph was also rebaptised in the Adventist  Church with his wife by his side where he remained faithful until his death.

Joseph truly loved Jesus and knew Bible Prophecy. He passed out brochures and tracks and shared his faith to everyone who was willing to listen about Christ soon return. He received the infilling of the Holy Spirit to continue to do God’s work.

Joseph is survived by Thelma his loving wife for almost sixteen years. Three children Christina Ford.  Tasha Deshazo (Chris). Joseph Giles(Chanel). Seven grandchildren. Four sisters Gloria B. Anderson of Amelia,Va. Trudy A. Urquheart (Glenn)of Chesterfield,Va. Janice Anderson-Archer of Jetersville,Va.  Jacqueline Archer(William) of Amelia, Va. Brothers Ronald L. Anderson (Donna) of Clarksville,Tennessee. Gregory A. Anderson of Chesterfield, Va. Aunts Viola Foster of Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. Hazel Lawrence of Amelia,Va. Marilyn Wilson(Paul) of Amelia,Va. Uncle Robert Hayes of Amelia Va. Stepchildren Carl Davis, Lentee Davis, James Davis, Stephanie Bowles(Michael) all of Richmond,Va. Three step grandchildren.  Sister in-law Marsha Robinson of Newport News,Va. Brother in-law Calvin Johnson(Jackie) of Hampton,Va.
