Obituary of Allie Belle Oulds Delaney

Allie Belle Oulds Delaney (98) was born to the late Norman Lee Oulds and Cornelia Brown Oulds on September 17, 1925 in Jetersville, VA.  She was the eighth of nine children.

She grew up in Jetersville and spent her formative years there. As a young adult, she moved to New York City where she lived and worked for over 35+ years. She returned to Jetersville and began to work for Attorney William Crews for a number of years, developing a special friendship with him and his family. After retiring, she spent the remainder of her life involved in her church and the community which she loved  so dearly.

Mrs. Delaney was predeceased by her parents, and four brothers: William Oulds, Albert Oulds, John Oulds, and Dudley “Rudy” Oulds; four sisters: Louise O. Brown, Sarah O. Wilkinson, Sally O. Baptist-Davis and Myrtle O, Lee; and her former husband, Canvas Delaney. 

She is survived by nieces: Vivian Baptist Merritt and Valarie Oulds Dunbar; nephews: Wilson Baptist, Jr., Michael Davis, Kevin Davis, Melvin Lee and Albert Oulds, Jr.; other family members and numerous friends.
