Early Sunday morning, May 24, 2020 at the St. Francis Hospital, God dispatched one of his angels to go by the bedside of sister Victoria Robinson Archer and quietly called her home to rest in his mansion. Victoria (Vick/Mama/Nanny) as she was affectionately called by many was born to the late Leon and Lucy Helen Archer Robinson on August 12, 1929 in Amelia, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband- Mr. James W. Archer Sr.; son- Franklin Archer; sisters- Mary Tyler Rachel Hyde, and Dorothy Robinson. At an early age, she was baptized and joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church under the pastoral ship of Reverend Isaiah Thomas in which she served as the President of the Senior choir, Sunday School Teacher, member of the Kitchen Committee and member of the Missionary Circle. She was educated in the Russell Grove School system. She was employed by the Central Piedmont Action Council, St, Catherine School System and the Amelia County Elementary School system. On April 25, 1947 she was united in marriage to the late Mr. James Archer Sr, and this union they were blessed with four children, Victoria leaves to cherish precious memories; son- Deacon James Archer Jr. (Deaconess Mary Ann); daughter- Deaconess Joan Owens (Deacon Ike); grandchildren- Barry Archer (Tertia), Reverend Tara Owens (Deacon Tony), Donnell Owens, Tammy Archer, Rodney Owens Shaun Archer (Charlene) and Erick Owens; a host of great and great great grandchildren; sisters- Beatrice Alston, Shirley White and Deaconess Vernelle Royal (Deacon Elwood); sister-in-law - Mrs. Marian Robinson; brothers-in-law - Mr. Joseph Archer and Mr. Franklin Archer and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
