In the late afternoon of Saturday, October 2, 2021, James A. Baker, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and family member entered eternal rest at home. 

July 19, 1942, he was born to Howard Baker, Sr. and Martha Patterson. He leaves precious memories to his: wife of 46 years, Rosa, sons James (Stephanie), Philip (Jenaya), Edward (Rosa) Coleman, daughters; Juanita (Elihu)Booker, and Jennifer Venable. Also, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends Dale Brown and Joseph Owens. 

Viewing will be held Thursday, October 7  at V Y Scott Funeral Home and homegoing services at  Mt Olive Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Friday, October 8, 2021.
