Mary Lucille Parker Obituary

Mary Lucille Parker departed this life on February 20, 2020 at her home in Hampton Sydney, Virginia, She was born on August 10, 1925 in the Parish of Winn, Louisiana, the daughter of Willie and Alma Pearre.


While being a military spouse with her husband James in the Army, they were stationed in Texas, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, North Carolina and Virginia making many lifelong friends.


Upon James retirement they moved to Cumberland, Virginia and then one year later moved to their residence in Hampton Sydney, Virginia.


Mary, as she was known to family and friends was an active member of the community. A volunteer at Prince Edward County Public Schools and also was a member of First Baptist church, Farmville Va.


She leaves to cherish precious memories, one son, Paul Parker Sr and his wife Lucy, of McAlester, OK; two grandchildren, Paul Jr, and Darron Parker; one great grandchild, Melo James Parker; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.


Mary is going home to be with her husband, James Parker; son, Derrick Parker; her mother, father, brothers and sisters.
