Helen M. Johnson of Mt. Vernon, NY  departed  from this  life to her heavenly home on December 1, 2021.

 

Formerly of Amelia where she attended school. She was a faithful servant of the Promise Land Baptist Church and a member of the choir and other church auxiliaries. When Helen moved to Mt. Vernon, she joined Friendship Baptist Church and continued singing, serving and praising  the Lord. 

 

 Helen enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking , sewing, traveling and creating arts and crafts projects.

 

The eldest daughter of the late Mason and Irene Archer, Sr. is survived by her husband, Gerald; two children, Veronica and Gerald Johnson III; granddaughters, Jazette and Bria Johnson; brother Mason Archer, Jr. and sister Elizabeth Walker.

 

Service will be held on December 9, 2021 at Friendship Worship Center in Mt. Vernon, NY.  

 

On December 11, 2021 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM viewing will be held at VY Scott Funeral Home in Amelia followed by graveside service at 1:00 PM at Promise Land Cemetery.
