Robert Raymond Mitchell departed this life to claim eternal rest on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.  He was born to the late Woodrow and Lucille Mitchell on October 5, 1946.

Billy, as he was affectionately called, was loved by many.  He loved spending time outside messing around in his yard, cutting his grass, and sitting on his porch enjoying the sounds and sights.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mitchell, sister, Sandra Jefferson and four brothers, John, William, Arthur, and Franklin Mitchell.

He leaves behind to cherish loving memories, one son, Antwan Woodley; one step-son, Bryan Patrick; one step-daughter, Dr. Virginia Faulk (Paul); six grandchildren, one great granddaughter; four sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Shirley Scott (James), Brenda Booker (Clinton), and Pamela Mitchell; mother and father-in-law, Frank and Ethel Jones; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and one devoted friend, Mary Ann Jackson.

Your life on Earth is over,

A new life you have found

A life where there is no more suffering or Pain,

A life where you will receive your crown.

You have gone to a better home,

One which none of us could give

There you may rest in Peace

There where you shall forever live.
